Soil compression earth auger anchors are not designed to dig a hole. Rather as you screw them into the ground, they pack the ground tighter, increasing the density of the soil and creating a stronger holding capacity. Unlike screw anchors, the design of the flightings is to compress soil not simply pepentrate into the dirt. Compression ring collets are used to stabilize any vertical upright, post or pole. Tighten the cap to compress the collets around the upright. Will tighten against multiple surface compositions and configurations.Will not distort or compromise in frost impaired soils.
