All external nuts and corner clamps are manufactured in stainless steel. Stirrup bracket is galvanized steel. Control gear: The choke, capacitor and ignitor ( when required ) are fastened to a removable geartray in the gearbox. All control gear is SABS/IEC approved. Power factor corrected >0.85 Lampholder: As required for the lamp type, porcelain. Front glass: 5 mm heat tempered, impact resistant glass, fitted over silicone gasket. Electrical connection: A three way 15 amp connector block is provided in the gear compartment. Silicone covered cabtire is used between gearbox and lampholder. All internal wiring 1mm silicone covered. Reflector system: High purity aluminium, anodized and chemically brightened used in both versions. Wide beam uses dimpled material with a maximum intensity of 650 - 725 cd/klm. Medium beam uses smooth material with a maximum intensity of 925 - 1050 cd/klm. Beam spreads are symmetrical and vary slightly between different lamp types. Mounting: Standard fitting with stirrup bracket is suitable for mounting to a wall or frame. Non integral versions are available where the control gear is not attached to the head piece. Windage area: 0.125m2
