High Intensity Discharge (HID) is a new type of lighting technology that's primarily different from the conventional halogen bulbs that use a heated tungsten filament. Unlike Halogen lamps, High-Intensity-Discharge (HID) lamps don't have a filament but create light by the arc between two electrodes. The arc activates the Xenon, which in turn ignites the metal halide. The light produced by an HID Xenon lighting system is greater than a standard halogen bulb and with less power consumption. HID Xenon lighting systems appear as a bright white beam which resembles natural daylight. The bright white beam offers greater visibility and is now being used on modern motor vehicles. In an HID Xenon lighting system, the voltage between the two electrodes rises firstly from 12V to 23000V and keeps stable at 8000V by using the Xenon HID ballasts system. Due to the ultra high voltage, the Xenon gas ionises and a super-bright beam is produced, whose colour temperature is up to 12000K. The HID Xenon lighting is much more economic, more stable and much brighter than any conventional lighting. Similar to a stadium floodlight in a hand held torch.Output: 3500 lumens of Xenon HID brightness. Focus is adjustable - Adjustable Intensity: (Three Levels: Full Brightness, 2/3 Brightness, and off). Large lamp housing provides longer effective range. Nicely Built-In 11.1V 4000mAh Li-ion Rechargeable Battery can provide 100mins running time. Portability: May be carried by hand or strapped to a belt. Convenient recharging: Input of 100V-240V and Output of 12V. Optional amber Filter for a more yellow output fit for foggy environments. The entire unit is constructed from tough aircraft grade aluminum. Water-proof design and suitable for any terrain. The xenon bulb provides more than twice the amount of light of a halogen bulb, while only consuming half the power (wattage). The clear white light produced by the Xenon bulb is three times brighter than halogen and similar to daylight. These rugged new HID flashlights are capable of illuminating targets up to 3000 feet using xenon High Intensity Discharge (HID) technology. The extremely bright light produced by X1 flashlights, makes identification of your target and distinguishing colors in the dark much easier. The focused beam results in more lumens per watt on your target than other high power flashlights. The beam is be between 3-4' in diameter at 2000 feet allowing excellent peripheral vision of outlaying areas
