LED LIGHTING

The advent of the LED ( Light Emitting Diode ) is revolutionizing the Lighting Industry. Earlier when incandescent lamps were used the energy consumption was very high and the life of the lamps used to be low. The fluorescent lamps reduced the Energy consumption and increased the lamp life. The Electronic Ballast further reduced the Energy consumption and in turn increased the lamps life. Now the LED lighting has reduced energy consumption to a very low level. Increased lamp life unbelievably. It has also made the process of Lamp making easy. For LED lamps the necessity to make vacuous glass bulbs or tubes , the process of filling such tubes with inert gases , the care that has to be taken while transporting these bulbs and tubes are all gone. Further LED lighting has increased the scope for out door lighting and Ornamental lighting as well. LED based torch lights, emergency lights, table lamps are all getting very popular. In the future it is believed that the LED lighting will takeover the indoor and outdoor lighting requirements of the Earth.
