Captured inside the jar is a highly efficient solar cell, rechargable battery and low energy LED lamps. When the jar is placed in sunlight, the solar cell can creat an electrical current, which charges the battery about 6 hours. This energy is then used at night to power the LED lamps inside the jar. The light is deffused by the frosted jar, and looks like sunlight in toward evening.
