When the bulb/bulbs go off during operation, the unit requires recharging, to be fully re-charged the lantern has to be charged (by either solar or 220V/110V AC) for a minimum of 10 hrs. Charge duration of less than 10 hrs will reduce the hours of continuous light available during operation.

If your lantern does not give up to 80% of the above performance, especially when solar has been used for first charge repeat the first charging procedure.

As the lantern is in operation, the stored charge is being utilized. When the stored charge is nearly used up, the lantern bulb/bulbs will automatically turn off.

When the lantern has been fully charged, it can be operated with either one or two bulbs on, depending on the selected switch position, as illustrated below.

Operating instructions

d)      A small red bulb located inside the lantern lights up to indicate the lamp is charging.

c)      Plug the cord into a 220V/110V AC outlet and charge continuously for at least 10 hours.

b)      Open the 220V/110V AC cord enclosure at the bottom of the lantern and pull out the charging cord.

a)      Turn the switch to the OFF position.

Procedure for First Charging using 220V/110V AC electricity supply

e)      To ensure full first charge, charge the lantern with the panel located outside for a minimum of 10 hours daylight on a day with average sunshine.

c)      Place the panel outside where it will be properly exposed to sunlight.
