1980s Enormous Dyed Python and Leather Bag Given our lust for large things, and especially when it comes to roomy bags, it's just about all we can do not to keep this one all to ourselves. Not only does it meet our criteria size wise, the hue of the skin is unusual and gorgeous, and the line of the bag easy on the eyes, and will get the job done like it should. Well, now that we've just about talked ourselves into keeping it, let's talk about this baby a little bit. Don't know about you, but for us, size matters. We want something big and comfy - and with measurements of 13" at the bottom, slightly tapered to 11" at the top, 11" high and just over 4" deep, this bag fills the bill. Color - admit it, don't you get tired of seeing pale skins? The warm, rosy-brown dyed python is perfectly offset by the chocolate brown leather trim. Design - the bag opens to three, leather lined compartments, the center one has a top zip closure with a tassled zip pull in python; the two compartments on either side of that are open. All three compartments have a faille-lined zippered pocket. A leather strap goes over the top of the bag with a gold toned metal turn knob closure in front. The leather strap is split just off the shoulder into two straps and attaches to the bag with gold toned hardware. The bottom of the bag is trimmed with leather and has four little metal feet to protect it. To say this bag is well made is a gross understatement, as is to say this bag isn't (fill in the blank) enough. It is, and it will get you there. The only identifying label on the bag is a 'Made in France' tag on the interior. In excellent, dare we say, mint condition. $1295
