"Afric" (pronounced ah-fric) - is an Irish name dating as far back as the 11th century and is still popular today.

Afric is a limited-edition style combining purple suede with a bold floral fabric, bamboo handles, and wooden-beaded leather tassels, creating a luxurious juxtaposition of colors and textures.

Elegantly merging style and function, Afric can be worn across the body with the padded suede shoulder strap for maximum comfort or carried stylishly with the bamboo handles. Inside Afric is a dyed-to-match purple lining of the highest quality, finished with a slightly waxy coat to allow for easy cleaning, and trimmed with leather at the pocket openings for added luxury. Afric has two specially-designed, large zipped compartments within. In the forward-most compartment is a cell phone pocket, several pen holders, a PDA or iPod pocket,"D" rings for keys and wallet, space for carrying your power supply, spare batteries, makeup, brush, and other must-haves.

Also in the front compartment is a complimentary matching wallet (for the first 500 Afric purchasers only), L 7" X H 4.5", with spaces for bills, coins, credit cards, and makeup. The wallet has an attached clip and can be affixed to a "D" ring in the front compartment of the Afric.

 In the rear compartment is a special section designed to hold file folders, writing pads, and other business paraphernalia. Furthest back is a zipped compartment with padded walls, padded flaps, and a Velcro closure to safely secure your laptop. In addition, 3 gel pads are strategically placed for maximum shock absorption. The compartment is easily zipped closed with a double-headed metal zipper.

On the outside of the bag is a large zipped pocket in back and two external pockets on the front, ideal for providing quick access to your cell phone, PDA, or iPod.

Afric comes with a padded, adjustable matching suede shoulder strap for softening the load, and small metal rivets at the bottom of the bag to protect the base. Strap length is 40" to 51" with rivet prongs for length variations. All metal hardware is an antique brass color and is lead-free.
