Cold drawing is carried out several times till the tubes are brought down to the required size. After each cold drawing the tubes are subjected to heat treatment straightening & surface cleaning. The finish tubes are then subjected to extensive testing as per the requirements of the specifications and also those of the customer's before they are finally despatched to the customer.

Additional tests such as Eddy Current Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, Corrosion testing, Macro &. Micro Structure Examination, IGC etc., are carried out if required by the customer.
Every single piece is electrically Etched/ Paint marked mentioning Manufacturer's name / Size / Specification / Heat No. / Third Party inspector's initials (when agreed)

Note: Stainless Steel is solution annealed. Carbon Steel & Alloy Steel is annealed

Seamless mother pipes are deoiled, cleaned, before annealing. Annealing is carried out prior to cold drawing. Cold drawing of tubes is carried out by using TUNGSTEN DIES & MANDRELS. Cold drawing reduces the cross section of tubes by tension through die and fixed or floating mandrel or plug. Reduction ratio of 25 - 30% in a single draw are commonly applied.

Prime Quality Hot Extruded Mother Pipes are selected carefully for each individual requirement. Preliminary testing ensures chemical composition, metallurgical and physical properties are in conformance with finish tube requirements.
