ABS AH36 / DH36 / EH36: Like ABS A & B, these grades of steel plate are almost exclusively utilized in the Shipbuilding Industry for the construction of Structural Parts of ships, barges and Marine Equipment. All grades are certified by ABS (American Bureau of Shipbuilding) and represent the Higher Strength Group of ABS.
API 2H Grade 50: This grade of steel plate was originally designed for the use in production for offshore fixed and floating production platforms where strength and material integrity is required in several dimensions. It is regulated by the American Petroleum Institute and in some cases certified by ABS (American Bureau of Shipbuilding).
