Memmert ovens and baths can be found in microbiology laboratories and equally in tests for industrial manufacture. Wherever they are used, the superiority of high-quality stainless steel can be seen compared to coated sheet steel, which can corrode very quickly when in constant use. For many years, structured stainless steel has been the Memmert trademark. Functional design in its most elegant form: scratch-resistant, robust and long-lasting. For the outer housing of all Memmert temperature control ovens, structured stainless steel is used (oven rear walls are made of galvanised steel sheets); and for the interiors and sliding shelves of universal ovens, incubators and sterilisers, as well as for housing, inner tank and accessories for the baths, stainless steel of class W-St. 1.4301 is used. Working chamber and non-tipping sliding shelves made of 100 % stainless steelFor the interiors of the CO2 incubators and humidity chambers, great emphasis is placed on smooth, hygienic and easily cleanable surfaces, which is why these are additionally electro-polished, and, like the sliding shelves, also made entirely out of stainless steel (W-St. 1.4301). Since aggressive substances are frequently employed in the use of vacuum ovens, interior and sliding shelves are made of stainless steel W-St. 1.4404, and the tubing is made of stainless steel W-St. 1.4571.
