Stainless Steel Strips FREE CUTTING STAINLESS STEEL "SF20T"

Characteristics of "SF20T

Its corrosion resistance under normal atmosphere is equal to that of AISI303. In alloy composition, corrosion resistance of 20% Cr + 2% Mo steel is equivalent to that of 18%Cr + 8%Ni steel.

Its machinability is the best among all stainless steel varieties and almost equal to that of free cutting steel AISI12L14.

(1)	Tellurium (Te) is added to reduce the cutting resistance and to improve the tool life much more, by spheroidizing the conventional non-metallic inclusions.
(2)	Carbon(C) is severely controlled under 0.03% to suppress the formation of hard chromium carbides.

Cold formability such as heading and caulking is superior to that of AISI303.

Characteristics of tips made of SF20T

(1)

Its durability in writing is far superior to those of brass (Cu+Zn) and nickel silver (Cu+Ni+Zn), normally from 1000 to 2000 meters in continuous line.

Smooth writing without scratching and bleeding, can be obtained to end.

[ Points for better disposal of chips ]
To produce smaller chips.

To choose the matching condition which suppresses built-up edge.
To choose cutting oil of low viscosity and to control its flow rate and spout angle, so that chips can be easily ejected, subsequently works can be entirely cleaned by ultrasonic wave
(Note: In choice of cutting oil, chlorine concentration should be taken into consideration to avoid environmental problems such as skin poisoning.)
