Cold-Rolled Grain Oriented Electrical Steels are iron-silicon alloys that were developed to provide low core loss and high permeability required for more efficient and economical electrical transformers. These magnetic materials exhibit superior magnetic properties in the rolling direction. These properties are obtained because the steels are specially processed to develop a special grain orientation within the steel. Depending on the type and required technical characteristics of transformer the Customer should use specific grades and thickness of CRGO steel.
