Core Pipe: The core pipe shall be rigid seamless high density polyethylene (HDPE), black, conforming to DIN 8075 & 8074, PE100, SDR17, MRS10, with a safety factor of 1.25 at 20* C for 50 years, having a density of 950 kg/m??. These pipes don't require blasting or coating since they are resistant to corrosion and rust.
The new trend in piping networks at the moment is the full HDPE piping network. The pipes are made from a HDPE core pipe and jacket. This system is becoming increasingly popular due to its flexibility, smooth surface and low friction coefficient factors, light weight, corrosion resistance and low thermal coefficient. It is still not widely used as steel especially for large diameters mainly due to the fact that for diameters above 500 mm, this system becomes more expensive than steel.
