LOW FIN TUBES

Low Fin Tubes have very large heat transfer surfaces as compared with plain tubes, so that is possible to reduce the volume and weight of various heat exchangers. They are produced from one piece of metal. The fins are formed from a portion of the tube wall, because of its one-piece construction, they provide heat transfer efficiency, durability and vibration proof properties. Plain parts (unfinned parts) are available at the tube ends and also in the middle parts, permitting easy and accurate assembly. The outside diameter of the plain ends and lands is larger than the diameter over fins. MATERIALS: - Steel A179 - Steel A334 Gr1-Gr6 - Stainless steel - Copper alloys - Admirality APPLICATIONS - shell and tube heat exchangers - coaxial condensers - coaxial evaporators - oil coolers - water heaters - shell and tube evaporators (submerged) TESTING When specified, finned tubes are hydrostatically tested per ASME Boiler and Pressure vessel Code, Section VIII
