Cold Rolled Coils Cold Rolled Coils are offered with thickness varying between 0,45 to 2,00 mm. The rolling process is how it reduces the thickness of the steel plates, transforming them into coils. The hot rolled coils are treated in baths to remove metal oxide (oxidation protection) and then processed through cylinders to reduce the material into the desired thickness. As is made in a cold system, the material suffers a reduction on malleability, for this reason, it is "annealed" to acquire better condition to be worked. Main uses: The cold thinned rolled coils have wide application in heavy construction, automobile industry, house utilities and electronics.
