Forged Steel Grinding Media Balls as per IS 12658:1989

(i) CHEMICAL COMPOSITION: The chemical composition of the forged steel grinding media will be as per IS 12658:1989 as follows:

(v) TOLERANCE ON SIZE: Variation on size shall not exceed the following limits:-

(iv) STANDARD SIZE OF GRINDING MEDIA: Balls diameter (mm)-100,90,80,75,70,65,60,50,40,30,25, & 20
Cylpebs (mm)-25x25, 22x22, 19x19

(iii) HEAT TREATMENT: The grinding media is suitably heat treated to obtain the required hardness and Microstructure.

(ii) MICROSTRUCTURE: Microstructure shall be free from continuous carbide network.

(i) HARDNESS: When tested in accordance with IS 1500/1983 the hardness at any point across the section of the ball is more than 375 BHN.
