Comprise of ordinary Grey Cast iron (FC25), specially formulated Mould Grade Grey Cast irons, and Nodular Cast irons, as well as a wide range of popular ferrous alloys which can even be
made-to-order according to customer?s specifications. Aekomol specializes in producing the following range of cast irons and ferrous alloys:
For use as glass moulds, such as the universally accepted ACI96A, having chilled working surfaces with comparatively fine "graphite type D" crystalline structure. Aekomol also specializes in
producing glass mould castings according to formulations and specifications which are widely in use by major European and North American glassware plants.
For use as mechanical working components and engineered parts which are predisposed to welding and machining into gears, wheels, housings, various mechanical linkages as well as moulds for articles
made from plastic and aluminium alloys. A range of tensile strength for this material can be produced to meet customers? requirements.
For use as mechanical cutting tools and hard-wearing mechanical parts, such as tractor tracks, digger shovel teeth, mineral ore mining equipment parts. One of the hardest of such material is Cr2828
which has an extraordinarily high chromium content (up to 650 BHN), extremely hard-wearing but also having a very high tensile strength.
All popular grades of Stainless Steel, especially 431 and 420 for use as moulds and mechanical parts and also 310S grade, which has high Nickle and Chromium content.
