Rail Spikes

For our customers' convenience, the Rail Products Division offers Gerdau Ameristeel's Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) system, which allows our customers to send purchase orders and receive bills of lading and invoices by computer 24-hours a day.

Shipments from our plants can be made by boxcar, gondolas, flatbed trucks, closed van and LTD shipment, and we offer a variety of packaging, including 200#, 100#, and 50# metal containers, and loose in bulk shipments in gondolas.

Gerdau Ameristeel's Rail Products Division maintains rigorous quality standards and is proud to have been certified as a "Quality Supplier" to the railroad industry, earning a NAPM Certification.

We operate state-of-the-art spike machines and can produce more than 75,000 tons of spikes per year. Our spike plants offer Several variations of A.R.E.A. spikes, and can produce, on request. In addition, we maintain large inventory levels and can offer our customers "just-in-time" deliveries, reducing the work and expense of customers maintaining their own inventories.
