BACKUP RINGS

Back-up Rings are manufactured from 90 Durometer Nitrile (NBR, or Buna-N) and can withstand operating temperatures from -40?F to +250?F.Backup Rings are available in different types of materials.The Primary use for Contoured Back-up Rings is to reduce O-Ring extrusion, cold flow, by closing off extrusion gaps on the low pressure side of the O-Ring. Higher application pressures can be achieved by incorporating Contoured Back-up Rings in high pressure applications.
