The one of plants included in the Hydro-Vacuum's group is the Foundry, which produce a wide assortment of castings for its own and for many customers needs - especially foreign customers. Process engineeringHydro-Vacuum S.A. Foundry is excellent for batch deliveries which required to use many kind of diff erent technologies. The capacity of our Foundry is counted about 5 000 tons per year. Foundry is equipped with modern, not troublesome devices. Patter Shop are making patterns made of wood, metals and epoxies resin. Melting of metal processes are making in the inductive furnaces, moulding sands are preparing in the automatic, electronically control sand reconditioning system equipped with vibro-fl uidizating disintegrator-refrigerating machine. Simulation of casting pouring and solidification before optimization - solidification directivity was not ensured The cores are prepared in the technologies: of oil masses, method of core cold box on Novanol 140, hardened CO2, method of core hot box, ceramically by Shaw's method, both in manual and machine technologies. Is a possibility to use the hydro diluted and soluble paints with one or two components (types and colors of coat according to the individual coordination with customer). Enameling Plant: Cast iron castings could to be coated of ceramic enamel in our own Enameling Plant. We use the acid proof enamel and safety enamel approved to direct contact with the consumption maintenances (types and colors of coat according to the individual coordination with customer). Fullering: We have the possibilities to fullering processes of castings by chemical preparation. Fettling of the castings: The raw castings are fettled from remains of the moulding sands, are grinded. The sharp edges are grinded and remains of the gating system are removed. Castings can be cover by safety coat. According to customer wishes castings can be full machined by automatic lathes, milling machines, drillers and grinders. Castings tests:- Hydro-Vacuum S.A. have its own laboratory where the castings are submitting under the following inspections: dimensions, chemical composition - spectrometric and chemical method, structure - with pictures of structure, mechanical property - strength tests, hardness, leakproof tests - up to 60 bar.
