Sausage Gabions

Sausage gabions consist of a single mesh panel and are supplied with steel reinforcing wires inserted during the manufacturing process. They are filled with stones of small grading for an easier adaptation to the soil surface.They are used for river and stream training works, for emergency works in presence of water, and can replace rip-rap protection or semi-rigid concrete linings.The product is simple to use and can be erected rapidly by unskilled persons.Some applications are:- Mass Gravity Retaining Wall Foundations- Irrigation Channels- Donga or Headcut Rehabilitation- Flood Rehabilitation
