The filtering discs are used without edge when they only have a filtering function. Each filtering disc without edging is made from an appropriately punched single wire cloth, whose characteristics must be defined (mesh opening, diameter of the wire and material). Before punching, the cloth is tested and stabilized; after punching, all the filtering discs are ultrasonic cleaned and packed in special vacuum packs. The wire cloths used for constructing the filtering discs may be made from all metal materials and alloys that can be drawn into wire, however the ones normally used, and generally available in stock, are in carbon steel or in AISI 304 or 316 stainless ste
