Uncia No Smoke E-Glass Mat

To avoid this problem Formosa Tech has developed the Smoke-Free Uncia Mat. This non-woven blanket is made out of up to 99.9% binder free E-glass fibers. It offers the same excellent thermal and acoustic insulation properties as regular E-glass mats. Due to the absence of any binder it will not emit any smoke.

Many applications require that the insulation material does not emit any smoke. Fiberglass in general is smoke free. However the binder on the fiberglass slightly generates smoke on the initial heat up. Many customers worry when their newly bought appliance suddenly smokes.
