1. Introduction

Air dome which is membrane structure has been advanced very rapidly in USA from 1960th and proven permanent structure to have durability and non-flammability characteristics. Membrane structure has outstanding characteristics compared to other industrial materials, such as higher specific strength than that of steel, heat resistance of 700-800'C, chemical resistance and resistance to lower temperature and ultraviolet radiation. The performance of this membrane has been proven by many successful applications in many countries. It is very convenient to construct at sight without frame since the membrane material is cut and jointed in advance in the factory according to design, simple installation is all required at sight. Membrane application is very wide to sport, commercial, culture, transportation and industrial facility.

2. Status and prospect

In this year, develop membrane structure and sale 700,000 US dollar and up to 2002 year, increase sales amount to 4million US dollar. All processes, spinning, weaving, surface treatment and final coating, polytetrafluorethylene coating, are almost set up.

Membrane structure is not classified into building construction and capable of building without any official admission.
Good resistance for environmental conditions.
