The GSC-37-43 covers are produced by a process known as cold pressed molding. This process consists of a matched metal tool, forming the top and bottom portions of the GSC-37-43. These parts are
hydraulically pressed together, however, before the mold is closed, it is heated. The pigmented fire retardant resin is poured into the bottom cavity of the metal tool. The pigmented resin contains
UV stabilizers to provide superior weatherability and protection from ultraviolet light. Then the operator places a prepared package of glass and plywood in the cavity. More pigmented resin is
poured on top. Finally the two solid metal blocks are pressed together and minutes later a new GSC-37-43 emerges.
