Lathe polishing machine for marble

Operator control board for the management of the machine with manual and automatic cycle. It is possible to adjust the time inside the tanks by the control board depending on the material in order to reach the best results.

Our customer said thet the machine while working for 10 hours\day, after two years need about 50 Kg of abrasive for each tank. This data are only statistical. (material processed : MARBLE)

LOW ABRASIVE CONSUMPTION

The tanks contain the abrasives and are realized in sturdy cast iron structure.  They are completed with a motovibrator, spring cushions and brushes made of artificial (plastic) horsehair and a thick internal anti-abrasive rubber protection. The number of the tanks varies on the basis of the material to polish: for marble we have nr. 5 tanks, for granite nr. 6 tanks which become 7 in case we wish to polish both marble and granite pieces.

On the bridge is installed the working head characterized by the tail centre and tailstock to clamp and turn the piece. The revolution speed is adjustable thanks to the action of an inverter. The clamping of the piece is managed by an hydraulic system controlled by an hydraulic pump. All the up-down, rightside-leftside movements of the rotation unit slide on circulating-ball guides completely protected by water and dust by special thermowelded bellows. As an option, the bridge can be equipped with a double working head which allows you to work two turned pieces at the same time.

BRIDGE AND WORKING HEAD

The machine is characterized by a travelling portal sliding on rectified tracks and movement transmitted by a double motor reducer with rack transmission. On the portal is assembled a bridge travelling on the vertical axis
