CNC Hard Gear Teeth Honing

This machine is capable of improving the quality of Gears in the following order
a)   Surface Finish
       (8 micro inch can be attained of required)
b)   Can remove nicks (Not Damaged tooth)
c)   Tooth alignment error
d)   Tooth profile error
e)   Crowning can be incorporated in the gear

This honing process can improve slightly the following parameters
1)   Total Composite Error
2)   Tooth to Tooth composite error
3)   Radial error

This machine is designed to accept International Standard honing wheel upto diameter 300.

The machines are also capable of finishing Soft gear after hobbing with appropriate grade of honing wheel. Unlike shaving operation, the honing operation does not introduce stresses & hence reduces possibility of the heat treatment distortion. In small & medium scale manufacturing plant there is an added advantage of honing substituting gear shaving machine. The gear can be honed in soft stage as well as in hard stage to improve the class of gears.
