It is desirable to clean and calibrate the drill before sowing for proper placement of seed and fertilizer. Granular from of fertilizer should be used to prevent choking of drill. Regular monitoring of seed and fertilizer pipes is helpful in avoiding choking during sowing. Use of planker during sowing is not recommended. Visibility of the Seeds in the slit made b zero till drill is normal. All the seeds germinate easily. Use of flat fan or cut nozzle is better for spray of weedicides. First irrigation at 15-20 days after sowing is beneficial.
