Ram Control: The ball valve and the foot pedal work in tandem controlling your Foremost Bantam Press Brake. The ball valve is used to control the speed of the air flow to the machine. The foot pedal is used like the accelerator on your car but only works as fast as the ball valve allows. The foot pedal pressed to the floor (with the ball valve fully opened) will allow the ram to make its fastest decent. If the operator lightly eases off the foot pedal they can stop the rams advancement, or if you remove your foot entirely from the foot pedal the machine returns automatically to its starting position. With Foremost Bantam Press Brake, the operator has full control.
Stroke Adjustment: By using the hand wheel, stroke depth can be controlled. Shortening the stroke increases productivity and reduces air consumption. The locking handle insures repeatability.
Safety and Tooling Adjustment: The bed adjusting bolts located at each end of the bed are used for adjusting the die space, therefore, eliminating pinch points. This feature is also used for leveling the bed. For the safest operation OSHA states that a die space gap of a 1/4 or less is not a pinch point.
