The broach tool is fed down through the workpiece and retained in a puller in the machine knee while the table & workpiece move up over the broach. The major advantage of the table up
machine is that floor level operation is possible without a platform or pit on any size of machine. Also environmental concerns and relocation problems are minimized. Automation
installation and tool change over are simplified.
