Built to the same exacting standards as the Ten Thousand, the Scotty 5000 is capable of creating up to 5000 unlaminated, or 4,200 laminated tabs per hour. Better Handling of Delicate Coatings The Scotty 5000 uses a platen-based plastic applicator that only applies heat to the tab extension. Additionally, softer belts drive the paper through the machine. These two key features make the 5000 ideal for handling more easily smeared/damaged aqueous coated stocks. Precision Cut a Variety of Tabs The 5000 can be adjusted to create tabs to any width from 1/2 inch to 5 inches (12.7 mm to 127 mm) by simply moving the knives closer or farther apart. Handles Many Sheet Sizes The extra long tool steel knives quickly and easily cut a one inch (25.4 mm) tab in the first position on a 14 inch (355.6 mm) long sheet. As the tab widens, or the tab position moves toward the center of the sheet, the sheet size capability increases accordingly.
