The BDA-62C is included with the purchase of a REELEX accumulator system, but may be purchased separately if a non-REELEX accumulator system is being used.
BDA-62C is a six-foot (183cm) tall BDA system equipped with an accumulator function, nine aluminum sheaves (5 over 4), twisted rod and potentiometer control, an aluminum sheave for input and a motor driven capstan. Includes one-foot circumference footage counter with input/output wire guides. Both BDA systems include a footage counter and anti-reverse mechanism and may be equipped with EC guarding.
The BDA-61C is identical to the BDA-62C except that it does not include its own motor because the motorized payoff can be sped up or down allowing product to be fed into the coiling
machine. If the payoff is not motorized, a TB-45 tension control system is required to control the payoffs braking system.
The BDA-62C system is equipped with a motor to pull product from the accumulator as the coiling machine demands it, then relay information back to the accumulator to accrue more product
during the cross-over process between mandrels. The BDA-62C is exclusively used in on-line configurations and is included in the purchase of a REELEX accumulator system. The BDA-62C may be
purchased by itself if an accumulator system is used other than one manufactured by REELEX Packaging Solutions. All REELEX BDAs include a twisted rod and potentiometer. These components function as part of the tension control system relaying signals to the motorized payoff or accumulator system. These signals adjust each components function thereby controlling line speed. This allows the line speed to increase during the winding process and slow down when the REELEX machine is between coils. The BDAs also include a accumulator component which works to temporarily store product and smooth out the sudden stops and starts of the REELEX coiling machine.
All REELEX BDAs can be configured with larger 15" sheaves recommended when packaging products such as Cat 6, Cat 7, fiber optics or other sensitive constructions. Buffer/Dancer/Accumulator systems are required on all REELEX packaging lines, as precise tension control is essential to producing quality REELEX coils. Several systems are available, with the most popular being the BDA-61C for most rewind-line setups, and the BDA-62C for most on-line setups. |
