- Horizontal Spiral Accumulator is an important equipment to guarantee continuous
pipe production. The accumulator accumulates and supplies steel strip for the main
mill. While working, strip enters into the accumulator discontinuously at fast speed and
comes out of the accumulator continuously at the same speed with the main mill.
Because coil-changing and end-cutting & welding need some time while the main mill
produces pipe continuously, the accumulator accumulates some length of strip to
ensure continuous production.
