PLC Based Sushi Freshness System

The process begins by first applying the black RFID tags to the bottom of each plate as shown in the picture. A food grade high temperature adhesive is used to insure the tag will survive the rigors of normal plate handling and washing.

There are two (2) types of system available.

1)PLC Based Freshness System
2)Software Based Freshness System

In both system, there are two (2) methods to remove the expired food from the conveyor.
Using Buzzer (manual removal)
Using a Reject Conveyor (Automatic Removal)

PLC Based Freshness System
a) Alert Version
In the Alert Version, the duration of each plates in monitored. Once, the plate exceeds it expiry time, the buzzer and an indication light will turn on to alert the chef. The system will sound two short beeps with red indication light.

Constant monitoring from the chef

b) Reject Version
In the Reject Version, the duration of each plates is monitored. Once the plate exceed its expiry time, the mechanical arm will reject the expired food from the conveyor to a Reject Conveyor. Therefore, there is no additional work for the Chef.

The Chef only need to remove the expired dish from the Reject Conveyor. From the Reject Conveyor, the chef would be able to know which dish is less popular by seeing what have been rejected.
