The Stott Hygienic Packing System is easily adapted to a wide range of IBCs, boxes, bags, drums and sacks. The extraction type packing head automatically removes dust emissions away from the operator for maximum safety from hazardous airborne products. The totally enclosed filling system reduces potential outside contamination that when combined with an optional inert gas metering system, ensures the quality of sensitive or degradable products. The Stott system incorporates a patented pinch valve assembly to ensure filling and weighing accuracies. When filling the drum/box or IBC the valve is fully open. After reaching the programmed setpoint, the pinch valve slowly closes, allowing the system to enter into a ""dribble fill"" mode, so that the desired weight setting can be achieved. The Stott Hygienic Packaging System includes a patented inflatable packing head, an integrated weigh platform, and a combined pinch valve to provide automatic control of bulk and dribble modes. Feed back control between the pinch valve assembly and integrated weigh scale can be used to regulate the feed rate during filling. There are two modes: the first is the bulk mode where material flows freely into the drum or IBC. Once the fill weight is around 90% the unit automatically goes into a ""dribble"" mode where the remaining 10% is filled in a controlled manner. A gravity roller track section to assist in removal of filled containers, and integrated electrical and pneumatic controls for standalone operating systems are also included. "
