The film splicer has two film mandrels which ensure a smooth splicing of the film. The film splicer switches to the secondary roll as soon as the primary roll reaches a low level, it splices the new roll to the active curtain and then discharges the old film connection, all while the packaging process continues uninterrupted. The disengaged film roll can then be replaced by a new one. The time required to replace the used roll will vary according to production speed and bundle dimension (amount of film used per bundle).
