EPE Foam Sheet Extruder

Machine is offered in 3 models MESS(BF)-65, MESS(BF)-90 & MESS(BF)-150 which have corresponding output capacities of 50 Kg, 100 Kg & 200 Kg/hour of foam.

EPE sheet can be produced in standard width of 1.5 metres and thickness from 1mm to 8mm. Foam thicker than this can be done on thickening machine by using several layers of individual layers of single foam .Foam pipe and rod can be produced from 4mm to 50mm dia.

 In the extruder, the raw-materials pre-mixed with suitable ingredients is melted and continous injection of  blowing agent viz. iso-butane  through precision metering and dosing pumps is done to obtain a lower density foam product. The gas is continuously mixed in the molten polymer and cooled for proper densification and maximum foaming of the product as it emerges out of the die opening. The machine is provided with accurate electronic controllers and circuits for precise control of the process parameters. The same machine can be adapted to produce protection sheet, pipe, rod, profile and netting by use of suitable attachments which can be ordered separately. 

The extrusion process utilizes a single screw extruder fitted with precision screw & barrel unit of special configuration and design for producing EPE foam products. The design makes possible melting, gas injection, cooling and pumping of the compound from suitable die from which the foamed product discharges. After emerging from the die opening, the foamed extrudate is handled, in-line with other equipment like sizer, slitter, puller and winder which continuously winds the finished product in rolls.

This machine is sued to produce EPE foam protection sheet used in packaging of delicate and fragile items as well as insulation.

Single screw Extruder with equipments is used to produce EPE foam 1.5mt. width 1-8mm thick using isobutane as blowing agent.
