When the ICD has verifyed who it is dealing with, it can issue the documents the client came for, whether it is about paying a bill, collecting a drivers licence or a credit card that is about to expire, or a certificate of trade or whatever he needs. The client can pay for the services with banknotes or credit card, and the machine then produces the documents for him/her quickly while he/she is waiting. This saves the client return journeys to collect his/hers items after after applying and paying for them.

With the ICD you can have distributed issuing of complex documents. The machine communicates with centralized databases to verify that the client is who he/she claims to be by reading and verifying his/hers ID using the most advanced technology.

ID and credit cards needs renewal, bills and different kinds of certificates need to be issued and all needs to be paid for and registered. Forcing all people to one and the same location creates traffic jams and long unproductive waiting for the client, as well as stress for the personnel handling the issuing.
