The resolution of the letter size is 300 Dpi. The heated pins press into an ink free ribbon and leave a clear, smudge free marking. The ribbons come standard in 6 colors, black, red, green, blue, orange and white. The substrate has to be a flat surface. It can be flexible film, polyethelene, polypropylene, polyester, nylon, paper or PET.
