This cam grinding machine is specially designed for grinding of various cylindrical profiles. It was originally developed for grinding punches used in the pharmaceutical (tablet making) machines.A
master-cam (MC) is required which is then used to generate a generating-cam (GC) the GC in turn is used for grinding profile of components. An MC is an exact (one-to-one) replica of the finished
profile. From the MC a GC is made. This generating cam is then used for producing the profiled components. The GC is made on cam grinding machine itself using the MC. For grinding the cam/profile
on a work-space the machine has a stationary follower on which the GC rests. The rotation of the GC provides oscillating movement to the work-head which is holding the work-piece. The GC
