650 Ton Hydraulic Press System
The press design consists of slab sides with top and bottom fixed platens. The bottom platen contains an up acting hydraulic cylinder with a bolt-on moving platen. The press can have two (2) or
three (3) working daylight openings. Two (2) or three (3) Center platens are operated by hydraulic cylinders, which provide equal daylight openings and break away force during press opening. Each
daylight opening contains top and bottom heated bolster plates. The hydraulic power supply is mounted on top of the press. Allen Bradley SLC control system operates all system functions. A touch
screen provides program access. The standard press uses manually set limit and pressure switches. A smart press uses linear encoders for platen position. The hydraulic pump uses servo/encoder to
control pressure and flow. This smart concept greatly reduces press setup time during press re-tooling.
