Managing quality during the production process produces a substantial benefit in terms of scrap reduction.  In addition, overall quality is improved

Additionally to the material quality it is important to rewind the material in constant position in the bobbins to have the best precondition for downstream processes such as the tire building machine.

Use of a Web Width Measuring System with CCD cameras and a Weigh System. Both variables, web width and weight in combination, are important to control if the extruder is to produce tread or sidewall of consistent quality.

The dimension of the product needs to be carefully controlled and, the product itself has to be guided before rewinding..
