Hybrid flat bed printer

NegiSigns Toucan Hybrid 64 6-colour drop-on-demand piezo-electric solvent inkjet printer is suited for heavy-duty outdoor applications (e.g. banners, exhibition graphics, street furniture, flags, floor graphics, rigid boards, ) and specifically developed for the more demanding user.

Toucan Hybrid is nbased on Mutohs popular Toucan family solvent-based printers. The Toucan Hybrid offers two printing possibilities. Firstly, it is possible to print in a roll-to-roll mode on flexible roll media. Secondly, the Toucan Hybrid also offers the possibility to print in a flatbed mode, i.e. direct printing onto rigid materials, such as coated aluminium, foam PVC, polystyrene, plywood, cardboard, The machine can accommodate rigid materials up to a maximum thickness of 75 mm, thanks to the incorporated laser-optic head height adjustment feature.

Conversion from roll-to-roll mode to flatbed mode and vice versa is done in a trice.
In roll-to-roll mode, the machine is capable of printing directly onto a wide range of low-cost uncoated flexible substrates (speeds up to 65 m?/h). In rigid mode, practical speeds of up to 10 m? per hour are possible.

Toucan Hybrid double-density solvent-based inks allow users to create signage for long-term outdoor application. Outdoor durability of rigid prints goes up to three years, without lamination. Prints on flexible materials can last outdoor for up to five years, without lamination.
