Solar Blister Line Loader PDF-Download Print Function Production process of Si solar cells for PV applications requires a metallization step to provide electrodes to the front and back side of the wafers. Such metallization lines may either be integrated into a complete inline process, or be designed as island solution. The latter requires loading of the wafers to a metallization line, e.g. from so called coinstack blister packages. The SBL01 Solar Blister Line Loader machine automatically picks up wafers from stacks and accurately places them on integrated transportation belts. The wafers are provided in stacks of up to 100 pcs. per blister box. The boxes can be accessed by a drawer. The drawer takes three boxes in two rows each. One wafer per box, i.e. three wafers in total are picked up simultaneously allowing to safe and reliable separation from the stack within the cycle time of the machine. These three wafers are placed on the transportation belt at a time. If one row of three boxes is emptied the machine automatically switches over the other row. With the total load of 600 wafers the machine allows for half an hour uninterrupted operation before next operator refill. Optionally the machine may be equipped with two separate drawers taking up 3 boxes with total 300 wafers each. This option allows uninterrupted operation during exchange or refill of emptied boxes. Blister boxes are available for 125, 150 and 156 mm wafer size. The operator will be notified when blister boxes are emptied. The machine my also be used to load other line segments or process / testing equipment.
