BARS-DG implements the principle of horizontal cutting. It is designated for cutting logs into edged and unedged board, beam, or two-edged beam.
SCOPE OF APPLICATION
The machine is to be operated at woodworking and construction factories for cutting logs into beam, crossties, edged and unedged boards.
UNIQUE FEATURES
BARS-DG can be used as an independent production unit, as a first processing machine to produce half timbers to be cut by multi-rip-saws as well as a secondary processing machine to cut beams into
boards.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION
The log is secured on the machine's stationary stand. The bridge moves along the guide rails of the stand. The bridge carries a support inside which two electric motors equipped with circular saw
blades in the horizontal pane are secured.
The bridge's rate of movement is smoothly regulated depending on the load. The electric motors with circular saw blades are moved up and down with the help of vertical guidescrews along the guide
rails of the bridge.
If 600mm diameter saw blades are installed on the machine it is possible to cut logs up to 360 mm in diameter without canting the log or up to 510 mm in diameter canting the log.
The machine is operated by an operator from a remote control panel with minimum manual operations.
The log is aligned in the horizontal and vertical planes, clamped and canted with the help of hydraulic devices.
