HYPER SEAGULL Oriental Hyper Seagull Data Sheet Oriental Hyper Seagull is paper that allows reprinting in beautiful monochrome from both color or monochrome negatives. The range includes four types
with gloss and matte finishes for both black&white and sepia. Oriental Hyper Seagull paper is resin-coated paper that can be processed using color paper processing chemicals. Do not use
monochrome processing chemicals. Features Enables beautiful monochrome prints to be produced easily from color or monochrome negatives on printers currently used for color printing. Setting the
channel settings for automatic printer settings allows beautiful images to be created in neutral gray or sepia tones in the same way as printing color negatives. Surface finishes include gloss type
suited to expressing rich shades, and matte type for a refined and subdued effect. This can be done using the color processing chemicals you are currently usingt. Types Description Gloss Matte
Hyper Seagull Black & White( Prints in beautiful grays and film black. ) Hyper Seagull Sepia( Prints in sepia giving an exotic "retro" feel. ) Gloss type:With glossy surface, ideal for general
prints. Matte type:Surface reduces reflection - ideal for a quality print finish with greater depth. Coating Layers Protective layer Ultraviolet absorbent layer Chromatogeneouse agent (coupler)
silver halide Base material Photosensitivity :Ortho-panchromatic Safety light : Use in total darkness as with color papers. Take care against light leakage or LED light from sheet feeder.
Developing and processing chemicals Developing and processing can be performed using chemicals for Fuji color paper, Kodak color paper, or Agfa color paper. Note that the colors will differ
slightly for each processing chemical. Processing can be performed using a combination of Hyper Seagull and color paper. However, where the color developer replenishiment rate is 109 ml/m2 or less
for a color processing chemicals, the processing amount for the Hyper Seagull must be adjusted to 50% or below. Consult with the relevant manufacturers. Use processing chemicals in accordance with
the users manuals provided by the manufacturer. Exposure Hyper Seagull paper can be used for printing from both color and monochrome negatives. It is set up particularly for use in mini-lab
printerse. Guidelines for use in mini-lab printers(Printing is also possible on printers similar to mini-labs.) Printing from color negativesSet up a separate paper channel, and set the sensitivity
adjustment (approx. +2 using concentration key). To give more natural-looking reds in portrait pictures in particular, adjusting to around C+3 will give a more natural finish. (This varies from
machine to machine, so a test run should be made.) Printing from monochrome negatives Set up a separate paper channel, and adjust the printer settings. Select the channel most frequently used for
regular negative prints, and transfer the data to set this as the Hyper Seagull channel. Adjust the sensitivity (approx. +2 using concentration key) using this channel, Slope adjustment is not
required. Using sheet feeder(These are guidelines, as there are variations depending on the light source lamp color.) Printing from color negatives Test using 20Y + 20M CC filters. The exposure
time will vary from printer to printer. Adjust using the same procedure as for normal prints after increasing the concentration by approx. 20%. Printing from monochrome negatives Printing can be
performed straightaway without having to select a CC filter. Adjust using the same procedure as for normal prints after increasing the concentration by approx. 20%. Characteristics curve & Spectral
sensitivity Characteristics curve(Developing process: P310BA) Spectral sensitivity Storage Unopened packages of Hyper Seagull should be stored in a cool dark place at below 10cent ( ). Storing in
locations with high temperatures and humidity may affect the photographic properties. To prevent condensation during use, remove from the storage location at least 3 hours before use and restore to
room temperature. Avoid storing half-used Hyper Seagull packed inside the magazines. Storage undeveloped images Provided developing is carried out within 12 hours of printing, changes will be
within acceptable values. However, developing should be performed as soon as possible rather than storing undeveloped images for long periods. Evaluation conditions Please note that gray scale
images will be affected by the lighting used for evaluation, since dyes are used to create the images on Hyper Seagull. If using for print evaluations or exhibitions, it is recommended that a
neutral white color rendering light source is used. (A slight redness may be appear when viewed under normal fluorescent lighting.) Warning The data included in this data sheet indicates the
results of tests conducted normally by OrientalPhoto Industrial. This data does not imply this company's product standards or individual product performance, and is not a guarantee. These
specifications and features may be changed without notice due to product improvements. Hyper Seagull is not a substitute for conventional black and white paper. Conventional black and white paper
(silver halide type) is recommended for long-term storage or display use.
