The user fills in a paper form with the digital pen (Digipen). The form is printed and supplied by
Digipen SA as it contains a special backing to enable the digital pen to record the data physically
written on the form.
The digital pen stores the data in its memory until the form is completed and the
end page?tick box is selected. The data is then sent via Bluetooth to the paired
cellular phone. The cellular phone sends the data via GPRS to the Digipen server.
This transaction takes a few seconds providing the cellular phone is within a GPRS
network area. If not, the information is stored in the cellular phone memory until
it is.
Once the data reaches the Digipen server, the data is processed and
converted in a PDF file which is immediately sent to the selected email or
emails. This process takes milliseconds.
