The scope of his work envelops 70 to 80 inventionsin the field of mechanics, chemistry, physics, aeronautics etc. In1903, he pattented the "Termofor" (heated watter bottle) in Budapest,Vienna and elsewhere. The Hungarian pattent carries the number 29276.Parrelel to this invention, he worked on inventing mechanical pencilsand ink pens.
After he got married, he chose Zagreb as home forhis family and took up residence on todays King Tomislav square (During that time it was called Emperor Franjo Josip square). Thisis where his bright career started. He accepted a public officeposition and took the official oath on June 14,1904.
EngineerSlavoljub Penkala is one of the most important inventers at thebeginning of the 20th century, born on April 28, 1871. After graduationon September 28, 1892 and finishing his studies at the Universities ofVienna and Dresden, he graduated from the Royal high technical schoolin Dresten on March 25, 1989, where he wrote his doctorate in the fieldof organic chemistry.
