3D viewing seems to be taking on steam this year. Several 3D technologies were shown last month at CES, while just recently NBC broadcast one of its shows, Chuck, in 3D. Digital Projection is following that trend by adding active 3D capabilities to its projector lineup (eight in all), top-of-the-line of which is the Lightning 3D series. The three-chip DLP projector will be offered in four versions, produce up to 21,000 ANSI lumens and 4000:1 contrast ratio. The projectors will be priced up to $125,000.
